This "wiki" is your step by step guide and user help manual, helping you get the most out of the Farm Economics Analysis Tool (FEAT) Online.

Tip: Have the FEAT Online website open in a separate window whilst following along step-by-step in the wiki.

The FEAT Online website is a planning and decision-making tool used to assist cane farming enterprises. FEAT Online enables users to evaluate the economic impact from changing farm management practices. Other uses for FEAT Online include evaluating farm labour requirements, preparing cash flow budgets and quantifying the impact of “what if” scenarios.

Main Navigation Bar

The main navigation bar (top and bottom grey bar) will always contain the same menu items, which you can click at any point to navigate to any of the top level pages.

Contextual Navigation Bar

The contextual navigation bar will display links relevant to the current page. When a scenario is entered, this bar will contain links to any page relevant to editing a scenario. This enables the user to fill out a scenario in any order, or to go back/forward and review any aspects of a scenario.

Wizard Buttons

At the bottom of most pages will be a "logical" back and next button, which will guide you to the recommended next page.

Tip: The FEAT Online Wiki also has back and next Wizard buttons at the very bottom of each wiki page.

Action Buttons

The five Action buttons are Edit, Copy, Share, Archive and Delete:

  1. Edit (pen icon): Enables growers to change the name of a scenario.
  2. Copy (sheets of paper icon): Copies the selected scenario so users can change the name of the scenario and modify the information.
  3. Share (molecule or three dots icon): Shares the scenario with another user of FEAT Online. When edits are made by the other user to the shared scenario, the changes do not affect the original user’s scenario file.
  4. Archive (folder icon): Moves the selected scenario to the Archived Scenarios list. It can be added to the main list or a certain Archived Folder that you can create.
  5. Delete (garbage can icon): Deletes the entire scenario. Users need to take care not to accidently delete scenarios when using this function.
