The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (the department) is committed to protecting your privacy when you choose to use the Farm Economic Analysis Tool (FEAT), and manages personal information in line with the Information Privacy Act 2009.
The department will collect the information you enter into the FEAT including your personal information (such as your name, email address, contact phone number, your role, mill area or company name and referral method for the FEAT) and use it to:
- diagnose and fix technical problems;
- evaluate anonymised analytical data on usage;
- make improvements to FEAT; and
- manage your registration and to send out important program information or updates.
To improve the FEAT experience we will also collect anonymised analytical data about:
- your browser, computer platform and screen resolution;
- your traffic patterns through our site, such as:
- the date and time of your visit;
- the pages and documents you accessed in the FEAT;
- how much of the tool you fill out;
- the source of the link you used to access the FEAT; and
- your IP address; and
- your mill area and role for aggregated reporting on the usage of the FEAT.
We will not add you to a third party mailing list, or otherwise use or disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, unless authorised or required by law. Please note that links to other sites within FEAT are not controlled by the department and you are advised to read the privacy statements of those sites prior to access.
If you request the deletion of your FEAT account, the department will erase your associated data to the extent permitted under the Public Records Act 2002 within 30 days. Note that due to backup processes, copies of data may reside in an archival format beyond 30 days.
Your information will be shared with a third party provider, GP One Consulting, who is contracted to assist in upgrading and managing FEAT, and are held to the same standards as the department in respect of protection of your privacy and data.
